Default Data backup - mirror software

I need a solution to backing up other than xcopy!

The requirement is to back up 3 network drives (shared folders) to a removable usb HDD. the data is totalling about 12GB now and xcopy is starting to run very slowly now.

Can anyone recommend a faster better way to do this. I was thinking about a live mirror of the shares so at the end of the day the HDD can be disconnected and taken off site to maintain data security. Only thing is I can't seem to find what I think I want.

As it stands, the boss has to wait an age at the end of each day and often gives up waiting and goes without the data. If there was a fire, it's a total loss which he really wants to avoid, but the slowness of xcopy is the problem.

Default Re: Data backup - mirror software

I use Acronis True Image, although I do a full image backup of my hard drive, have a look here:

If you want it send me a pm. Hope that helps.
