Default Cheeky question of possible help needed

A lady friend of mine at work has a excel spreadsheet that she uses for course bookings(I have a copy here). It lists such things as type of course, name location dates of course, certificate numbers(important as they are CAA authorised).
What I am asking is someone with ideas that could help make it easier to fill in (drop down menu's etc) and just look better overall.
If anyone would like to view it i'll pm or email it to them.
    Cheers

    Satzzz

Have you tried using auto filter in excel? It will create the drop down menu's you require..
(So highlight A1 for e.g go to data--> auto filter = drop down menu )

Yes it already has the auto filter on,but it just looks a mess.I can do VERY easy formulas but I just though someone could take a look and throw a few new ideas into the ring

To get really good looking stuff with total control you'd need to do some VBA that sits behind the spreadsheet.

Would it be possible to make a simple access database to do the job?

Using named ranges, data validation and a lookup formula you should simply be able to add the functionality you require.
