I really would like it were some clause set into footballing contracts and insurance policies regarding club's being renumerated for loss of transfer fees in relation to players being proven without a shadow of a doubt to being evil little cunts. Newcastle could have fucked him off after his stretch over the wall and been none the worse off. It's obviously too much to ask for professional football clubs to take the moral high ground and do the right thing is it....Lee Hughes had a decent season at Oldham this year didn't he...............

He was an evil little thug when Newcastle signed him so why should they be compensated for any loss ? If they were willing to pay over £5 million for a street fighting thug then that is surely just bad judgement. As for giving him a second chance after serving time then that just beggars belief. He should have been signing on the dole the day he was released from prison !!

Now he'll miss the remaining games and not give Shearer the chance to put him on the pitch again. Maybe missed, maybe not but what he did was more against his club and supporters than anyone else. They're the ones he has let down the most. Kick him out of the game and we gain some credibility.
As for the game itself, Liverpool won because they were far superior, not because of a flag, or lack of. The could be still playing now and Newcastle wouldn't have scored.

If you think fining a pro footballer hurts them, then you are seriously deluded. These guys earn more a week than most do in a year, and I think the most they can be fined is 2 weeks wages due to FA rules.

That is down to the FA, all Newcastle can do is sack him, which they should have done in the first place. So you won't gain any credibility from anyone. At the end of the day if the FA don't ban him he will continue to assault players at any level he plays at.
