    Photos Springtail again

    Another common springtail (Orchesella villosa)

This one was on the path tonight, and I touched its ass end to make it leap onto a sheet of white kitchen paper.

Taken indoors, flourescent light and a silver reflector. Once on the PC I noticed it had only one full antenna. Made me wonder if it was any less able to get around, but then again, it was a fully grown specimen (just about 4mm in length) so I suppose it has done OK so far!

    WDYT?

Very nice detail and colour. I've never heard of those let alone seen one as far as I know.

Great detail and colour. Surprised it didn't scurry off before you took the shot. I like the narrow dof so you can see the kitchen towel in focus just in front of the bug.
