    Default Motorola V9 problem

My sister is on her 2nd V9 the first got a dunking so the water detection spot went red, now her current V9 went funny the other day screen scrambled so I went to legal bod and said contact the supplier and get them to fix it as its only about 2 month old, my sister is worried as she say the spot has started to turn pink, when the other went down the bog it went bright red and solid read this is a little patchy she is worried that the supplier is going to turn round and say its water damage and refuse to replace/repair the phone. My thoughts are to get a replacement spot just so that they can't refuse t sort it out.

Her last phone the spot was pink before the dunking, I can only think that this is due to the place she works, its in a kitchen and she isn't the slim athletic type (I hope she doesn't read this) so I am guessing that sweatting could be the issue.

So does anyone know where I can get a replacement spot? She doesnt want to phone anyone just incase they refuse and it is then logged as water damage so would prefer to replace the spot then try. She doesnt have phone insurance as they want £9 a month for it rip off merchants.

have a couple here LJ your welcome to them, just because the dot is clear though doesnt mean they wont pick up the damage it will be fairly obvious when opening up.

Is it insurance swap out or going back into store ??

Thanks Mobileman I will pm you my address, let me know how much I owe you. I have plenty of detailing stuff if you want to try anything let me know.

The phone will be going back to the phone network as it came from them direct as an upgrade, they were pretty good they gave her the upgrade a month or so early last time due to the dunking and she has been with them since they came about, you can switch the phone on and it works, she rebooted it the first time and it was OK but after a bit the screens went funny again, I just tried it without the SIM she is using her old V3xx at the moment and it comes on and displays the emergency calls only message pressing buttons and the screens look fine maybe its inside the menus or something.

    Thanks
