The Wire - Season 5 (Final Season)

Just started the final season (5)

This show has to be one of the best ever made for TV. You just forget that anyone is an actor - brilliantly written and gritty drama.

Definatley the best since the sopranos - if not better.

Agreed. I've blasted through the whole 5 seasons in less than a month - superbly written and acted. Was surprised to learn that Stringer is an English actor!!
Enjoy the final season - it's fantastic.

Only problem is what to watch next.. currently getting in to 'Sons of Anarchy' and I believe I need to watch the Battle Star Galactica series as that supposed to be great too.

Same as that but am on ep5 of series 5 at the moment - best series I watched for a long time.

WTF ??? I'm so jealous - I would love to be able to do it again. Apart from a weak Season 4 - The Sopranos is fucking brilliant m8.

Battlestar Galactica is amazing, and it ended really well. Season 3 a smidging on the weak side, but otherwise great.

Personally, I rate the Shield and BSG as being better than the Sopranos. Can't comment on the Wire as I've only seen a handful of episodes.

That threw me in The Office when he pitched up. To be honest I think The Office has had a weak season 5. I still love it, but it seems to be living off it's past this season.
