My father and his relatives have been going there for the last 10yrs or so, he couldnt rate it highly enough and his family loved it too.
Hes been all around turkey and said its probably the nicest place he been to so far.
Been many times but not for the last 2 years. Our favourite place in Turkey. Beach is pretty naff but most hotels have shuttles down to the lagoon - or you can walk it.
The resort itself is a little on the small side - you can walk from the bus stop at one end, to the Olu Deniz Resort hotel at the other end of the resort in 15-20 leisurely minutes if you don't get distracted by the shops and bars etc.
Great selection of restaraunts for all tastes and budgets. I've tried a few just to get away from the all-in food at the hotel and never had a bad meal. Beware of buying branded alcohol tho - very expensive.
Loads of places to visit and there are plenty of shops doing trips. The 5/7/12 island trips and Dalyan mud bath trips are a good way to unwind - especially towards the end of the 2nd week.
If you've not been to Turkey before it's a fair shock when shopping or even just out for a stroll. There's loads of bods trying to get you into their shop, bar etc. but you'll soon get used to it.
Local markets up in the village of Hisaranou, up the road and also in Fethyie (nearest city) are worth viisitng. Hisaranou itself is great - especially at night. A bit more lively than Olu Deniz and cooler too - it can get really hot .
If you need someone to carry your bags, I'm yer man.
I went years ago and pretty much echo everyone elses sentiments. It's no longer as quiet as it was when we went though.
booked it 4 - 19 will let everyone know what i think
