    Question My Documents

Is there a way of having the computer (XP Home) save everything by default to a "My Documents" folder on a second hard drive?

That would save me moving 500Mb of photos every month or two to another HD.

    Bilbo.

Yes, just right click and goto properties and then change target to whatever you want...

Here is how to do it in windows 7 / Vista

I found if do not do it this way then some applications still install to the default my docs place even tho none of your shortcuts will link to this.

I have this setup so that I only need a small partition for my OS and then all files and media is on separate drives so I can format whenever I like without needing to back anything up ever
