    Default Damsel Fly?

I'm ashamed to say I don't know. It looks like a damsel fly but I'm not sure.

This was sat in a tree stump aside Derwent Water very much looking the same colour as the wood. Can it camouflage itself?

nice crisp shot there Ian, with nice detail - bit of a shame the arse end is missing (or was it hidden?)

it is indeed a damselfly, dragonfly wings are perpendicular to the thorax.

Shame you didn't get the whole body in but it's still nice and crisp.

Good sharp pic. Makes me want to go out and start trying to photograph dragonflies again.
