If they didn't come with the system then you should be able take them out no problem as the laptop won't need them
Just remove all the screws you can find. On most laptops there is a panel to the top or bottom of the keyboard that needs to be prised off to get at some more screws that hold the keyboard in place. Undeneath the keyboard you'll find more screws which hold the top of the laptop to the base.
You will come across ribbon connectors that hold components in. The clips that holds it in to the mainboard can be released by gently pullying the ends up a couple of millimetres.
You should be fine. Just make sure you don't force anything. IF you have to force it then more than likely you've missed a screw...
