My new niece :o)

Took this earlier today, Its my new niece Ruby, I'm quite happy with it, but don't have the necessary skills to tweak it ready for possibly putting onto a canvas as a present for the proud mum and dad.

Would any of you guys be kind enough to PS it for me? and not in a comedy way!!

This is the shot, I've attached the large version from Flickr, but if it would work better with the original, PM your email and I'll fire it over to you in the morning.

Yeah mail it over to me mate, do you have the jpg or raw file? RAW would be better.
Also what do you want doing? Straight black and white? Do you want the picture cleaned up a little, remove sleep from eye, remove birth mark etc? or just left as is and tweaked a little?

Hi mate,
Sorry for the delay, got called out last night to a house fire which took up most of my night. Anyhow, done them now. The images below are from my flickr stream and resized small the full size files are waiting on my server for you, will pm you url in a moe.
Hope these are ok for you. Kinda messed a little but it is a good image to start with other than a little tweaking here and there there's not I would do to touch it up. Shots like this need to be as original as possible I feel. What I have done fromt he original is adjst the levels slightly, boosted the contrast a little, cloned out the sleep int he eye plus a few other places and run in portraitture software to smooth the skin a bit, this gave me the original shot I worked from

The I started to play. First emulating a Polaroid 669 film (something I have been playing with for real this week)


The one of my own black and white scripts.


Then a desaturation and added vignetting script I use.


And finally a film emulation of Ilford HP5 400+ (which I am about to process my first 5 rolls of later this week.)


Hope you like them mate, as I said the original is a good shot and thumbs for capturing it, I didn't want to ruin it, hence the subtle tweaks. Also i don't do selective colouring. So sorry no version of that in edits for you. Maybe someone will if you really want it, but with the whole image being fairly tonal neutral it won't have that greater impact.

I'll grab the rar off your server when I get home if thats ok, I particularly like the desat & vig one, and the polaroid. Will check with the missus later and no doubt she'll get the final say!

No problems mate, know what it is like. My better half is the same, she has to view every wedding dvd I send out!!
