Default LLOY - Lloyds Banking Group PLC

This share does not need much of an introduction, it was trading at 100p+ only a few short weeks ago. A share dilution sent it rocketing down all the way to 60p range where is seems to be sitting quite nice for the moment.

I've invested a few quid into it with a long term goal - its not even worth watching day to day as its far to easy to get burnt. 60-70p is the current range, day trade is you dare but its a pretty solid buy to ignore for 12 months then come back to.

Yeah alot of current share holders are a very long way from breaking even, let alone being in profit.

My avg is 70p so its not a far goal post to start turning a profit.

I only have £500 worth in lloyds think for the long term they have the potential to be a real money earner. I think they will still have a bit to fall for the short term (low 50's) and then the only way is up. Going to put in some more, but the european courts could prove decisive if they deem the emrger with HBOS as unfair. This would force assets to be sold at low prices, and send the shares tumbling even more. On the contrary, if the merger gets the nod, that spells £££ for all investors.

    Edit
My b/e is 65p, but like i said, only £500 quids worth so not exactly going to make me a fortune!

I just sold out of my LLOY at a very small loss.

I want the capital and bored of seeing these go 67-70 every few days.

I'll jump back in when they break 70p

Holding a couple of k at around 75p, think in 6 months time I will look for a 50% profit.

    Confirmed trend of 65p-70p.

Last week even going as low as 61p.

Now BARC has smashed 300p, I can see the banks continuing to recover at a steady pace. Think LLOY will hit 75 by the end of the week.

Been watching these for the last few weeks and think its about time to jump in!

I thought with the job losses on the news tail end of last week that it might have changed, but still seems about the same price.

Job losses are often reflected positively in the stock market, its all about reducing costs.

I've just sold mine to get a bit of cash in. i think they will remain mid seventies for a while and the drop back to mid sixties. I could be wrong - 2-3 months ago they will £1!

Issue of new shares dropped them to 60. Its a tough climb and RBS sticks very close to lloy.

All the banks will continue to rise imo, there is very little holding them back - they are in recovery.

    Dont bank on it

Id say its going to be a rocky road for the markets as a whole this summer and wont see good gains until early autumn. As far as Lloyds are concerned, and as i know only too well...... things are afoot that will hit confidence in the price in the not too distant future (More unemployment) There a great bet for the longer term as are any bank really. However these arent going to gain much until they start buying back from the govt.

    My 2p's worth

i think something was said in an earlier post, but unemployment is normally a good thing - it is seen as a cost cutting measure which normally pushes prices up. I agree with you about this being a dodgy summer - things normally go a bit crazy when there is no parliament in session.

these seem to have flown in the last few days - think they will post good profits this week. Also heard a rumour Northern Rock is going to be sold off and re-listed.
