Right, this might be in the wrong section but it is a software query...
I have a requirement to be able to get my Windows server to detect a movie has been inserted in the DVD drive and automagically rip the files, ISO or (preferably) covert to DIVX. The machine I am using has no display or keyboard/mouse connected to it.
After some searching I found Handbrake and Autobrake which are supposed to do what I want but unfortunatly it seems to hang and takes AGES to do each disk. Also under Windows 7 it seems to loose its settings for Autobrake (Which does the automated part).
Ideally I want it to rip the movie to DivX/XviD, put it in a directory and eject the disk at the end.
Does anyone know of either
a) Any tools that will do this "off the shelf"
or
b) Any DVD to DIVX tools that will work from a command line a'la imgburn
If I can find something that fulfills b) then I can write an app to do the DVD autodetection and call the application to do the rip. I know I can do this with imgburn to rip the files from a DVD or even rip an ISO but of course DivX/XviD/MKV/WMV would be preferable to save on hard drive space.
