Default Nintendo WiiWare on chipped Wii

    Hi guys.

I've got a Wii with solderless modchip fitted. I'm not sure of the type.

Anyway, I was wondering if it's possible to play the Nintendo WiiWare (.wad) files that have come into my possession! I've hunted around to find the answer but all I ever seem to find are answers involving soft-modded Wiis and the Twilight hack.

Can someone help out an old fool?!

Sure, You can do this on a unchipped Wii as well.

You need the HBC installed, so you are gonna have to use an exploit (Twilight or bannerbomb) to get it on your wii and Waninkoko's Wad installer and obviously the Wiiware wads (PM me for details if you don't already have them)

What Firmware are you running? and do you have access to a copy of Twilight?

As he already as a chip he could just download the homebrew channel iso and install it that way. No need for the twilight hack or the banner bomb hack.

Very true, I keep forgetting about doing it that way. I get so entrenched in a way of doing things. TBH I don't even know why I ask about twilight, cos bannerbomb can be done on virtually all machines anyway.

There are a few enhanced versions of Waninkoko's Wad installer that allow better use of directory structures, if anyone is interested I can dig it out when I get home.
