IMDB credits David Trelfall (Shameless Frank Gallagher) as Archer (the clever vegetarian), but I'm sure he was played by a guy called Mick Ford..I'll load it up in a bit and see what the credits say.

Have to say tho that he looks fuck all like Frank, even if the film is 32 years old

I did a bit of bang up in a YOI as a youngun, and in addition to the Shenley nut house, some bits of Scum were filmed in Rochester YOI (The greenhouse scene) and Dover YOI (External shots i think). Before my time tho...
