An investigation is under way after police in Nottingham shot a man three times
with a taser stun gun as they tried to arrest him.

A member of the public filmed the incident, which happened in the city centre in the early hours of Monday, and passed the video to Sky News.

The guy was being a beligerent fool, the tazering looked like it could have been warranted from the video.

What wasn't warranted was the copper punching the guy in the shoulder; that was out of order.

I still think the coppers in the 80's were better. They had more respect and only carried a stick to hit people with. But they still have that law in place making it illegal to photo coppers. I wonder what would happen if they demanded the tape from this camera - they have every right to it, but taking it would be perverting the cause of justice (however you would have no proof once the camera is taken).

he deserves the sack in my opinion, 4 brutes against 1 guy who's just been given an electrick shock and he still feels the need to use full strength punches - no excuse, straight out of the door facing criminal charges imo.

the number of shots from the taser is irrelevant i think, he was resisting still... but there were four filth there - why didn't they just jump on him like I've seen many times before.. are they affraid of getting their uniform dirty or something..

It makes it an offence to "elicit, publish or communicate information" relating to members of the Armed Forces, intelligence services and police, which is "likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism".

It's yet another law introduced then manipulated to fit the needs of dishonest, aggressive and self serving police in pursuit of megalomania avoiding public outcry via censorship.
Funny I was reading the thread on Margaret Thatcher and how evil she is now considered and the miners being victims but at the time the blanket censorship of the press gave a totally different impression and the public backed her, now it amazes me how people always look at the present as free press, no corruption and consider things like that don't happen now well that was the attitude then and no doubt this time will be looked back on with the same view in future.

Sorry to have dragged this slightly off topic but on the taser issue I'm sure I read when it was introduced it could ONLY be used ONCE on a person under their own regulations of use.

Agreed it only took one copper in them days... they catch you up to no good you good a dig and sent home... you dare not tell ya parents coz they would give you a hiding too.

on the story... plod mob handed total overkill... tazering was fine but giving him a dig while he is down is out of order.

I remember when I was on the doors and we got raided we had one copper who was a bit heavy handed... when we got the all clear from the head shed I offered the inspector a chance at a bit of sport, I pointed the copper out and said any chance he wants to come round the back of the club for a private fight.. he can keep his CS and batton to use if he wants.. the inspectors eye's lit up and he suggested it to the offending copper in front of me and my staff and a couple of his oppo's.. The copper shit out and said that would be totally unprofessional. Never seen him on the door plod again. FANNY!
