I remember a few years back I found myself getting stitched up fixing all my mates pcs. These days I don't for a few reasons.

1) There was a time I came back from uni for xmas. Rebuilt all my home pc's and did four of my mates at the same time. Every computer had somehow got infected Those who still had faith in my abilites were eliminated by the following techniques.

2) Tell them they can drop their pc round and I will fix in when I get spare time and will call them once it's done. Take 2-3 months doing it and let them have it back. (Last time this happened, I couldn't have done it much quicker unless I gave up df for a week so it was fairly true).

3) Find out what they do for a living. Ask if you can use their professional skills foc for a day or two to improve your house.
