Default Has v3.0 OS buggered your GPS?

Ever since I upgraded my 16GB 3G to version 3.0, my GPS has not been able to aquire any satellite data. I am getting a triangulation lock (big blue circle with 800m radius) but the iPhone is not pin pointing my exact location. I've reset it several times and left in plain view of the sky for over 20 mins with auto-lock set to "Never"

It seems like I'm not the only one either thats having issues with v3.0

Currently its standard, and I guess there is no point progressing to JB until this issue is resolved.

Jailbroken on 3.0 here and having isssues with the gps signal, it either just will not get a lock or if it does manage it the signal is very poor.

    ouch

methinks this is a way that apple will force a v3.01 upgrade and patch the jb/ultrasn0w hole.

either you get v3.0 jb with ultrasn0w or v3.01 with working gps. but not both

think im gonna stick on 2.2 jb w yellowsn0w for now, i can live without cut and paste

Used Navigon today as a test as well.
iPhone was dropping the GPS all over the shop.

Getting exactly the opposite, GPS is working better than ever.

Locks on instantly and is very fast.

Try restoring the phone to re install 3.0 and see if you get the same issue

The first time I tried it took a while to lock on to sats after upgrading to 3.0. Now there is no problem, instant lock, used Navigon to work and it was fine. The only thing is that the GPS icon is no longer showing on top of the screen

Think I'm going to replace my handset since this is really bugging me and I can't be arsed to wait for Apple to patch it. The only issue is whether Apple stores will still have the 3G in stock, because I'm sure as shit that they won't give me a 3G S

I think this issue is down to a specific batch of iphones since its widespread and pretty consistent between users. I can imagine that Apple may have switched GPS chipsets mid-cycle and the 3.0 drivers for the old/new chipset are not working as they should.

Well, I've got my genius bar appointment set up at the Apple store in Zurich. I called ahead and they have enough 3G stock to cover technical swapouts, so either they fix it there and then or give me a shiny new one (white again please ).
