Screenshot of error included. These are Verbs, first 5 or so burnt fine, I've created coaster after coaster since, tried two different burners on different laptops, thought it was a problem with my external HD, so moved the files onto the local HD, made no difference. Latest version of ImgBurn, now trying CloneCD, but tbh I can only see it being the disks![]()
I dont get what is going wrong here though. This batch worked fine for the first 5, the previous batch of these all worked, I've tried two different burners and two different applications (CloneCD burnt to 100% but disc is unreadable by machine). I don't believe the Xbox is playing up, as its reading all my other burnt disks without any issue at all. Its all fucking fucked up
EDIT: Source? No idea. These are the ones I ordered: http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/787183...searchsource=0
This lot all worked, so I thought I'd save myself the effort and get the 25 spindle, but they're not working.

Are you burning on a laptop you say ? do you have anything else going on while burning IE. downloading to the hdd or unraring something ? maybe the hdd is not keeping up with with the burner,Try burning after a reboot and only start up your burning program and nothing else.
Tried all sorts m8. Tried on a desktop with nothing else running (OptiArc) and the laptop was burning with nothing else running (ImgBurn) and this morning with stuff running (CloneCD). Best result so far was CloneDC which actually burnt to 100% and actually booted, most of them at the moment just result in an "Open Tray" message.
What gets me is that this is the same kit and disk I've used before, I've had issues before, changed media and issues have gone, now with this spindle the first batch worked, and now fuck all. I don't get it.
I had the same issue with IMG burn rolled back to an older version and it worked for me.
why not give that a try
Will do, anything is worth a try at this point. I've ruined almost this whole spindle now.
Just tried CloneCD, fresh reboot, nothing else running (apart from usual system tray stuff), burn at 2x - disk unreadble. I'm close to giving up
EDIT: Which version did you go back to btw?
im guessing you may have a bad spindle mate... sometimes you get them
Are you sure clone is using the layer break from the dvd file and not setting it wrong itself ?
im going for bad media too
can we unhijack this thread now plz
Mabe we should have a fight night 4 knockout?

I've ordered another bunch (10 discs, the ones I know work!) so will see. Fingers crossed.
First go through I checked the iso, second time through I checked the dvd file and noticed the layer break had been set, along with the 2x speed, so I can rule that out - sadly
Agreed - can a mod/admin create my burning crap as a separate thread?
A friend of mine had burning issues with DL media for a while. We suspected it was a bad batch of media, so I tested a few discs on my burner (Pioneer something-or-other) and every burn was perfect. He went out and bought a new drive and now every burn on the previous "bad" media is perfect
So it was his drive at fault, maybe something to consider.
I also had been experiencing problems burning, even before anything had been written to disc it would show up IO error in imgBurn. So started burning on Clonecd and even the discs that had problems in imgBurn worked fine.
I think its the new updates to imgBurn that are fooking things up. Gonna roll back to an old version to be safe.
-=AD=-
I had a problem like this not so long ago, i ended up swapping the drive and the % of good writes increased dramaticly but i still got the odd drop out, i put it down to media and the dvdr.
Aritas where the disks, no problems since though, most used to drop out starting layer 2 (around 50%)

I've tried two burners, both give the same error at the same point. I've ordered some more media, so will try that and see what happens.
What burners have you tried ?
