    free Sky/Netgear Wireless Router

    Hi all,

Just got connected up to Be this evening and now have no use for my old Sky Netgear wireless router.

Apparently these can be over-ridden to be used normally? If this is of any use to anyone VIP or that has helped me in the past (no short list) then its yours for the price of postage.

As stated, if you have helped me in the past or are VIP you get first refusal, if its not taken by Weds, its first come first served.

Both of mine are playing up and are out of warranty, and I plan to move over to vm some time in the next few months so that would do me nicely until I move over.

Edit: Actually, I reckon I should at least ring up and try and blag a free one from sky first, so withdraw my request for now and I am sitting by the sidelines, may rejoin the game tomorrow, and I do realise someone else may get in there before me.

Russbeer if this is the DG834gt sky model then yes you can reflash it and use it on Be, which is a lot better than the Be Thompson shite they give you.

Their router only gave me 17.5mb, with my dg834gt I get the full 24mb.

If you do keep it and reflash it just remember not to get rid of your Be router as they will charge you £100 for it if you don't send it back if you were to move away from Be.

I'd still have given it a try. You could probably squeeze a few more megs out of it. Plus the firmware I am using is very good and gives me a lot more options than the regular modem.

I'm not one for messing about with stuff like that as I have no patience when it comes to trying to fix it.

Plus I've promised it to Lou Smorals now and I'm not being an indian giver.
