    Default Club Vs Country

Just something that hit me reading through another thread.

So who do you support Club or Country or both & if it's both which comes 1st & finally care to add what region/country you are from?

I'm club & from the North (West) but now live in Scotland.

I'm pretty sure we've done this before but club....couldn't give a fuck about England in the slightest to the point of actually wanting them to lose.

oh and we did do this before....

Oh bugger, I tried to do a search but I couldn't wade through all the millions of posts it came up with. Still this is slightly different because I'm trying to see if the patriotic fans are from darn souf, as was suggested in another thread & it certainly appears that us northerners are not country fans, so far.

now as for support its hard to stay loyal to one format..

    club during league games.

country has to be top during world cup etc...

and any english club will get my support during foriegn matches..

    this includes wales ireland scotland....

No, I voted both!! I don't see what the issue is, England never play when united play so why their is a conflict I do not know. For me, seeing England win the world cup would be the
pinnacle. Obviously I've been lucky enough to see my club win absolutely everything, but there is no doubt in my mind that I would take seeing united go trophyless next summer if it meant England won the wc in south Africa. World cup wins are once in a lifetime event for most people, I doubt I will ever witness one, and if we win it next year every single one of you northern miserable bastards (said with humour I hope you all appreciate!) will be cheering England on.

I said both. I am a Sheff Weds supporter but would love to see England win the World Cup. And as a northerner I know loads of people that would tick both. It must be just the Sheff United supporters that only want to support/follow their country!!!!!!!!!lol

    Club all the way.

Generally not bothered that much about england, although I usually watch thenm in the euros and world cup. I do have a problem (As I'm sure I said last time this subject was raised) with despising players for their club 1 week and then cheering them on the next when they turn out for england (Although that probably isn't an issue anymore since we were relegated)

All out Liverpool fan, but somehow would dearly love to see England world cup winners in my life time. Don't know what it is... perhaps the thought of taunting every welsh/scottish/german person I know. Think its deeper set than that though. I just need to see England win. None of this Andy Murray for Britian bollocks, ENGLAND and nothing else just simply matters. Any twat that thinks the English team isn't worth playing in deserves a beating... (yes some of my team are definitely guilty!)

Yes I support England and would love to see them win the World Cup (in fact anything!) but 99% of the time watching them play is frustrating and so fucking dull its untrue. But if there was ever any deciding to be done it would without doubt be United all the way and no way would I scarifice us winning a trophy to see England win. Ever.

I'd sooner sit through a replay of the Leeds/Histon game than watch an over-rated & over paid England side.

Pfft. Not supporting your country indeed!

I'm sorry, but you lot are full of bullshit and are just trying to sound controversial.

You know full well that when a World Cup or European Championships was on, you'd have your England/Scotland/Whatever shirts on down the pub like the rest of us. Especially if they got to a final.

Yeah, you might not watch the friendlies, who does? But you'd all get a pretty damn good feeling if the captain lifted the World Cup and if you didn't, then you're not a bloody football fan IMHO.

Now vote 'Both' or fuck off.

I voted both but thinking about it id ratehr England win the world cup than arsenal win the premiership or champions league. England have been shit of late and we need our footballing pride back! That said it hurts me more when arsenal loose than when england do. Hmmm tricky one!

I'd love to see Bradford City win the premiership - I think England are more likely to win the World Cup though. I'd also like to see that to be fair. I expect quite a few people that have voted in here may change their tune if England did win it.

I did vote for club though. Although either I'd be happy with - just happier with Bradford winning the premiership as it will not happen any time soon

Both, born in Sunderland. But love watching England play.

Will never forget 1990 world cup and Euro 96.

Liverpool winning the Premiership is the main thing for me but the the World Cup for England is a very very close 2nd.

You didn't put what region you are from but I'll bet a £1 to a pinch of shit you are a southerner, am I right?

Oh & I haven't got an England shirt but I'd probably get lynched if I wore 1 up here? I do wear my City shirts with pride though.
