Won't repair E74 as console is second hand?

Hi,

I picked up an E74 xbox from my friend, called up xbox support to register it in my name and they're saying it can't be repaired for free as it's now second hand...?

Is there any way around this? Thanks

Failing that give it the rrod fix and try a re-flow

even tho its second hand they should still repair it, its basically a well known hardware fault that was basically their fault and its got the extended warranty cover for 3 years so i think you just got an asshole when you rang up the first time, try again and ask to speak to the manager if they fob you off again

Got through to a second Indian who said that "I was confusing him" LOL... How rude... Anyway E74 booked for repair

probably cos his mate had previously registered it in his name, same serial number and 2 owners which was probably logged at MS
