spending big money doesnt guarantee success...but will Man City finish in the top 6 come next May?
does anyone think they could challenge for a top 4 slot?
imo they will need to change the management team first
Top 4

I reckon somewhere between top 4 and top 8
A good team now, but we'll see whether Sparky has the nouse to get them to where they want to be.
I think they'll be hard pushed to get top 6. They have some great players but they need to become a great team and that's not going to happen quickly. A lot of people are delluded if they think City will be automaticly good, but by the same token a seemingly equal amount of people will be deluded if they think City will continue doing nothing.
This is a great team in the making. But still only an ugly duckling!
Apathy? can't be arsed.
This year 6th and Hughes gets sacked. Then next year top 4 possibly.
None of the players they have signed are the elite like Chelsea did when they went crazy the team they have now are more like stop gaps to get to the position Chelsea were when the russian bought them.If they finish higher this year they may attract some top class players and then possibly break into the CL places and attract the world class players that have been fucking them off this year.
I think they will compete for 4th place with arsenal. it will be close.
i have my doubts whether hughes is upto the job. but i reckon if anything Man City will certainly be entertaining!
7TH
I predict 6th. A good start with a sloppy post Xmas finish.
IMHO Top 4 this year (in no particular order) - ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa
I think outside the top4 its great buying all the top players but getting them to play as a team a different matter.
We Only Need Nine men, we only need nine men.
im gunna say 7th i dont think they will be at the level of everton or villa yet
5TH

1st
6th. Everton to pip arse for 4th, think the owners should be happy with 6th this year though they probably won't be.
Top 4 will be the regulars and then AV - Everton - Man City.
I think 4th, Hughes will be the first managerial casualty of the season.
I think they will do better next season when all the players have "jelled". Would be nice to see them in the top 6 though. will be hard
When you consider they've bought a player from the champions who moaned he didn't play enough..a central midfielder from the team finishing 6th...a striker and a defender in the team finishing 4th...another striker from the team finshing 15th...and then mix them with the rest of the team that finished 10th I just don't see how some are saying they are going to storm into the top 4.
If i was a Citeh fan i think i'd be content with a comfortable 6th and then push on from there next season. The thing with city is other than massive wages they offer nothing at the moment to lure world class players there and it may take at least 2 years of steady progress to get to that point.
I don't mind City and their fans and i'd like to think they'd be content with that progress and not expect instant success and be booing the team come march.
1 - Man U
2 - Liverpool
3 - Chelsea
4 - Arsenal
5 - Everton / AV
6 - AV / Everton
7 - Man City / Fulham / Spurs
Anyone who thinks Man City are gonna break into the Top 4 are " Crazy ".
Chelsea already proved it takes a couple of years to get good players to gel and be effective as a unit
Man city and real madrid are ruinign football. I hope they do fuckign shit lol. The top 4 will be the same as last year.
