help with wad files needed pls

hi there,
trawled the net for what seems like a lifetime trying to find a definite answer to this....
how do i install/play wad files on my chipped wii? firmware 4.0e

Makes no difference if your wii is chipped or not.
Firstly do you have Homebrew Channel installed?
If not follow the banner bomb hack thread to install it.
Get yourself wad manager and away you go.

Just one more thing you have to have trucha bugged IOS's installed otherwise you wont be able to install the wads, so do a search for trucha bug restorer too.

Oooh, and before I forget, install Bootmii as well, it'll help save yourself from bricks from bad wads etc

ive got the homebrew channel installed........but nothing else.
can i still update the firmware after installing this? if not.....and the mrs does it by accident will it break anything? and is there a good chance that any of the progs will brick my wii?

Install boomii and use it to backup your nand (wii internal memory)
