Still too early. Boy do I wish it wasn't, but it is. First marker is the 9-10 games, when transfer window is shut and all the newbies have settled in. Expect to see a slight change to the top then, but still expect to see Chelsea at the top.

Yep! Think Chelsea's consistency will be the key to their success and also managing to grind out results rather than thinking they'll walk over everyone.

They look more of a unit this season.

until the african nations cup comes around in january, and drogba, essien, kalou and mikel have gone, as that is such a bus part of the season chelsea will be stretched, so they will be serverly tested then

Yep always forget about African Nations Cup and your right it always does hit Chelsea the hardest of the big Prem teams.

You obviously weren't watching the same game the rest of us were! We were all over them. They were lucky. These things happen.

Still think we will be finishing in top four, but not infront of either Man U or Chelsea (third or fourth for us as per usual).

Please can someone give Lucas a really big kick, so that he doesn't play for the rest of the season. I was so happy when there was chat of him leaving and heading back to Brazil.

Very good point well made, I also forgot about the ACN. Doesn't effect United at all, but yes, Chelsea will miss a few players. Lets hope for an Ivory Coast vs Ghana final

If I remember last year, chelsea coped quite well with the missing players who went to the African Nations Cup. I remember thinking they would suffer, but they didn't. Would need to get some stats I guess.

just like we were with burnley, thats football either you take ur chances or u dont, because at the end of the day no one is gonna remember how many chances or the missed pen attempt we had, they will remember the result and thats what people will remember aobut liverpool, simply that the whole of last season they lost 2 games and withing 3 games thus far they have lost 2 games, and thats what the record will say and thats all that will be shown on premiership years in a few years time. its all about results and not carling opta stats, if that was the case i think arsenal would have won a lot more than they have.

Credit where credit is due, we (villa) defended exceptionally well, brad friedel excellent and 38!!! I dont think you (liverpool) even looked like scoring, you huffed and puffed but not much quality in the final 3rd. Albeit we had a fortunate first goal, cant deny the second or the penalty... Lets have a bit less of how Lucky Villa were, it was well deserved, we won, 3 points, thanks, nuff said!!! Liverpool premier champions this season?? Not for me, you miss a quality midfield general

Yeah you played well and got your reward, We had plenty of chances to score and thats our own fault, But lets be honest the first goal as you said was fortunate the second goal was never a corner in the first place no arguments over the pen, You had your fair share of luck and scoring the first goal allowed you to defend like stoke last year and use you pace to hit us on the break, Fair enough you defended well and friedle was great but you did have your fair share of good fortune.

Second goal was never a corner??? You need to check again, clear deflection from Sidwell's shot... Agree with the rest of your statement... anyway, its gone now, 3 points, move on to Fulham on Sunday!!!

Nope was clear from both the front and the reverse angle that it was a goal kick. Was pissing me off how many knocks your twats were giving Torres too and he got nothing for it. Commentators started saying how he needs to stop moaning... erm no, the opposition need to stop being fouling cunts!

Think you can only claim friedel had a good game, the rest of your team were just average trying to soak up pressure from us. We had 12 shots on target and 9 off target, you had a quarter of that.
