That Star Wars thing may or may not have been a mistake, but it has allowed me to seamlessly slip the conversation into another gear...

Who likes "Star Wars" and who likes "Star Trek"?
I, personally, hate Star Trek. I just can't stand it, it just seems so, well, so... so.... boring!

Star Wars, on the other hand, is legendary! I really love Star Wars, but it seems that people I have spoken to immediately assume that I am a trekkie too. Wars is a different league to Trek, Wars is a good story for instance (except the last one, but I am talking about the original Star Wars trilogy anyway...)

Yeah, nice to see the first use of transporters, communication etc.

I have also watched up to the Episode 11, just waiting for USA to start screening the series again from X-Mas.

Wasn't sure about music at first, but as the series is only set about 150 years from now, perhaps they wanted to make it less futuristic.

I think Voyager was the best so far in most ways but Enterprise is maybe a close second.

Yup, I too thought it was a good first episode and am looking forward to seeing the next one, it looks like it could develope very nicely. I have to agree with Tim.Lad on the crappy sig tune, I know its set just 150 years into the future but I wouldn't like to think that we 'advance' into a Brian Adams type of prefered music

Yeh, Enterprise is definitely a very good series. I have also seen the first eleven episodes and it is excellent.

Good to see the old gung ho attitude back in force!

I thought it was good, shame about the music - but on the whole I liked it.

The klingon didn't look like the klingons in the original series - I'd have thought they might have created some sort of story line to cover that change.

for me that was where it fell apart a bit

in the DS9 episode "Trouble with Tribles" (i think) Worf stated that Klingons went through a change after the early kirk days(between the end of the TV series and the start of the movie series) yet here we have Klingons the same as in the latest generation of Star Trek series

ho well nothing is perfect i guess
