Jack Tweed has been arrested after a teenager claimed she had been sexually assaulted, the Met Police said.

The widower of reality TV star Jade Goody was detained along with another man in his 20s.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "A female in her late teens has made an allegation of sexual assault."
It is believed the teenager who has made the claim was previously unknown to Tweed.
The alleged incident occurred in the Redbridge area of London early Friday morning.
The two were being held at separate east London police stations.
Tweed's spokesman, Mark Thomas, declined to comment on the arrest but confirmed that a lawyer had been hired to represent his client.
The 22-year-old married Jade shortly before her death in March.
He later revealed he had not coped well with her passing.
"I don't really know how I'm bearing up at the moment. I'm drinking quite a lot, which I shouldn't be," he said last month.
"I shouldn't be saying it but I don't want to lie to anyone and I am drinking quite a lot and I've got to go and see someone or I've got to stop."

I read a news report earlier that said he denied the rape, then listed his last 2 big crimes & said after each one that he also denied it (beating up a taxi driver & beating up some kid with a golf club). That wouldn't be published/printed unless they were confident that they wouldnt be sued.

Tbh I feel a bit dirty reading up on this bellend as I hate this gutter celebrity culture but it must be like a car crash & I can't help but look.

I am not sure he is a bell end, or twat or whatever else.

The way I look at is that a lot us would be getting nicked and possibly jail time if we were in the public eye. I know myself that I've had bust ups with people, and road rages that I have taken just a little bit too far. And that if I was in the public eye, and especially if I had a bit of money, that I would have been hurled in front of a judge. Yet because I am unknown, I haven't even spent time with a copper.

I also know from experience that there are a lot of women willing to sleep with a minor celeb... And the higher ranking celeb you are the more publicity blinded girls will sleep with you. I also know, as a friend of a minor celeb, that they are more than willing to sleep with said celebs friends too. Basically, most females are slags. When they female realises how poorly they have been treated, or that the celeb is not interested... They turn. Either towards the Police, or the papers. It's the society will live in. And although the women need greater ethics and morales.... The celebs should learn that due to their high profile lives they simply cannot behave like they do. but they don't and the tabloids cash in.

He's still innocent till proven guilty & in this case I would really like him to be not guilty, but who knows. There should be some more debate about how the accused blokes never have anonymity & that's terrible if they are later found not guilty.

I agree.

It's a terrible crime. And is very difficult for a woman to report to the old bill. Which is why there are so many campaigners for more women's rights and protection in rape cases. It's also very humiliating and painful to be cross-examined in court. However now I think, the laws are bit too strong towards the alleged rapist. It seems the male is already guilty, especially if they help sell newspapers.
