Photos My first ever Shield Bug

In all my life until today I had never seen one myself...

One of the most interesting bugs I think I have ever found - the shield bug (usually green I believe) turns brown around autumn time. I spotted this one on the wheel of the wheelie bin after it had been emptied today, and was very surprised - never having seen one before.

So I took it indoors to take photos as when these beetles fly, they are loud and fast, and if it took off the chances of a finding it again would be scooby.

So this is my first one , a marvellous insect that ranks as one of my faves now!

C&C of course as always invited.

Nice one Paul, seen one of them buggers in my garden as well but not on a photo shoot...
I think the last one looks most interesting, with all the detail of its back.
    Greetings :)

    amazing photos mate,

kinda creepy with its red eyes!
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

Superb detail in the shots Paul.. much more colourful than the plain green one I got ages ago.

I saw one of these yesterday in my kitchen, last thing it saw was the underside of my shoe.
