Photos not displaying correctly

hi guys. I have an acer al1916w and radeon 9250 now i have the radeon drivers installed no problem and the screen is set to 1440x900 but shows as a plug and play monitor in the hardware profile. The problem is that images are very poor quality and i get a little bubble box saying "shift+ r inmproves the quality of this image"...WELL ACTUALLY NO IT DOESNT. I have downloaded the drivers for the monitor off the acer web site and tried to install them but when i click to update drivers then it says the best driver for the hardware is already being used (or something to that effect) and the monitor still shows as plug and play generic.

Have tried uninstalling monitor from profiles but when i add new hardware it just finds a plug and play monitor again. being a complete geek with photos and having something like 2000 on my pc then this is a ball ache! any ideas where i need to go with this guys?

I have the exact same when browsing using mobile internet.... if i hold shift and press f5 it sorts the images out. I only have this when using mobile internet, when i'm online through broadband this doesn't happen!

hmmm inspecta you have a point! i have to admit i hadnt bothered looking at my pictures on the HD and infact they are fine! it is just stuff on the internet! using winxp and firefox latest download!!
