Manchester Utd vs Man City Preview
September 19, 2009 | Written by : Jim Haines
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is a doubt for the Manchester derby, while former United player Carlos Tevez may be missing for Mark Hughes’ City side.
Tevez has a knee injury and will face a late fitness test ahead of this match.
Definitely out for City, however, are Emmanuel Adebayor, who is suspended; Robinho and Roque Santa Cruz, both of whom are injured.
Craig Bellamy will start upfront on his own, supported by a five man midfield, including Martin Petrov, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Stephen Ireland.
With central defender Rio Ferdinand struggling with a groin injury, Johnny Evans will deputise in central defence alongside Nemanja Vidic.
Dimitar Berbatov will be recalled to the starting line-up alongside Wayne Rooney and Darren Fletcher will come in to replace the suspended Paul Scholes.
KICK-OFF: SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 20th 13:30 GMT
