Same day passport renewal

Hey!
Has anyone ever done a same day passport application at the Liverpool office?
Had a job interview yesterday which I think went well and they said they might want to fly me to their head office in Belgium for a 2nd interview with the FD.
Only problem is my fricking passport has expired. Had a look on the official website and it says they can do same day renewals for 130 quid (as opposed to 77 quid for normal)
Anyone had to do this before?

Yeah I had to do this at the Liverpool office to fly out to Kansas for work.

You give your passport to them and return after a couple of hours and your passport is done.

But you have to book an appoinment before hand, they wont do it if you just turn up.

done it in London, was a case of taking all the right forms waiting in queue and paying your cash, then coming back in about 4 hours, you need to take photos and everything as usual, as if your posting it off.

Guess its the same up there?

yea i did it.

I went liverpool with an appointment and paid the 130 squid.

came back 4 hours later and it was done.

good service to be fair (just expensive)

i done it in glasgow...didnt need appointment, but it took them 6 hours....totally agree it was a great service, even the girl was sympathetic of the cost (she didnt lower it though hehe)

You have to ring up and book now in London too.

Also need all the stuff ready to go. If your pics are wrong for example, or you filled it in wrong, even something as minor as blue ink instead of black. That's it. You've missed out. Might be worth getting your photos at one of the approved photo shops and let the post office check the forms first.

I've had the pleasure of doing this at the Newport office, last year.
Had to book in advance, and it took about 5 hours.
Most of which I spent sitting in Newport Cathedral, apart from having a GLC moment outside Hypervalue.

Anyone doing this, double and triple check your forms. A common mistake is that your signature isnt completely within the box.

Definatly book an apointment, a woman my sister works with went yesterday, the know it all just went even though my sister told her not to and was a little upset when she was turned away.

The forms thing, I would fill out a few just incase they are picky, I know someone who filled 2 out per person, they refused one due to signature out of the box so he pulled anothre form out and it was accepted. The post office said my sisters photos wouldn't be accepted due to her wearing her glasses in the photos but the day she went to send the form she had her contacts in, the woman insisted she should have her photo taken again without glasses. My sister always travels in her glasses incase she falls asleep she now can sleep i her contacts but still went in her glasses the other week to the USA.
