My iTunes has expired

I wanted to jailbreak my 3G iphone today, so I can use 3.1, currently on 3.0 jailbroken. However when I try to open itunes I get a message saying "This copy of itunes has expired".
Does anyone know how I can resolve this, if I install itunes 9 I wont be able to jailbreak.

If I remove it and reinstall it will I lose all the data stored in it?

Shit just gone to open mine (8.1) and got the same message, be interested as well if anyone has a solution?

Mine is actually 8.2 not 8.1 installed 64bit version last night from this thread

will try reinstalling 8.2.1.6 see if that works not sure if mine is this already or just 8.2

25 minutes after realising my itunes was out of date its all up and running again like nothings happened.
