Default Biggest movie shock you've had?

Was talking to a mate today and he was telling me he was watching poltergeist 3 the other night and still found it quite scary. Conversation went on to what the biggest shock you have ever had in a film was.

Mine is definately the scene in Jaws where the head pops out from the wrecked boat underwater, I was only about 8 when I seen it and its prolly shite now but I still remember nearly caking me trolleys.

So come on then, whats ya biggest fright, however long ago.

Mines was childs play 1 when chucky hit your women in the eye with a hammer and she fell out the window. After the film I needed a piss and the toilet was up on the 3rd floor and no one would go up with me so I stood holding onto the door and I pissed myself. Mind you I was only 10 at the time. That was 17 years ago and I still remember to this. The fucking wee bastard doll

I liked it in From Dusk Till Dawn where they all turned into vampires... not that scary but didn't expect the film to go in that direction at all.

BBK and I was discussing this a while ago and we started watching movies that scared me as a kid. Jaws was one of the first ones we watched. It still had the drama and the suspense even as an adult. we watch Jaws 2, not go round to watching the others yet. We watched all the poltergeist films. they were not as scary as i remember but that bloody clown........
I also watched the Alien films and remember being absolutely terrified. They dont make films like that any more.
I remember as a kid watching the Day Of the Triffids. My older brother told me that it could happen and because of this for years and i mean for years i believed this and would never go near plants that even resembled the triffids. still terrify me lol

I thought I'd grown out of scary films cos I watch all the ones that have been coming out for the past decade and they don't scare me at all. But then I watch all the ones from before I was born or the early 90's and they scare the fuck of me still!

Can't think of the most shocked I've ever been. I remember as a kid being shit scared of Death Becomes Her when Goldie Hawn gets shot in the stomach and has a huge hole. And also when the bad guy gets run over by the steam roller in Roger Rabbit.

    Jaws, definitely with the head.

Deliverance - "squeal like a pig boy" !

But the biggest movie shock - come on, no.1...The Crying Game has to be up there surely.

I was thinking that when I read the title, obviously not a shock as in scary, but definatly one of the top twists in a film. Totally unexpected and quite frankly brilliant.

Big shock (surprise not scary) was in Pulp Fiction when Bruce Willis walked in on Marsellus getting fucked up the arse. Didn't see that one coming!
Was rewatching Alien and Aliens the other night, and the face huggers still make me jump.

@ Freaky...Oy! leave 'The Champ' out of this, its not a 'what movie made you cry like a girl' thread.

Forgot about American Werewolf in London. Loved that film.
There is one bit in it that freaked me out, and it's not even that scary. The bit where his bed is in the forest and he wakes up with wolf eyes. Made me jump a foot in the air the first time I was it. Not that scary but gave me a few disturbed nights after watching it.

This - YouTube - John Carpenter's The Thing - Runaway Alien Head

I must have been about 12 when I watched it, didn't sleep for weeks.

    Even now, I shudder.

Bumping into my dad and his 'friend' Howard at the Odeon in Leeds when he was supposed to be on the afternoon shift. Priscilla Queen of the Desert was on the main screen but he claims to this day he was there to see Pulp Fiction.

Several scenes in The Others, and of course the ending.

As to From Dusk Till Dawn I found the change to a vampire flick extremely disappointing, up until then the movies was brilliant.
