AMD is very nice.
Few years ago bought a XP 1800+, the profit of AMD is that you can by almost the newest CPU for a decent price. At Intel the prices are getting lower when they aren't that new anymore.
Í say: If you buy a new PC, you'd better by a verry up to date one so you don't get behind in technology so quick.
I have been running a Athlon 1.1 Tbrid on soltek SL-75kav for 2 years now but yesterday started the long haul of upgrading.
Bought a Athlon XP 2800 (barton) and with the latest bios update from soltek I am running it underclocked 140mhz and getting a respectable 1755Mhz from it.
I know this is about processors but LONG LIVE SOLTEK
My current setup is
Aopen XC Cube
Intel Celeron D 2.4ghz
512MB Samsung DDR400
80gig Maxtor Hdd
256MB Sapphire Radeon 9550

Logitech Cordless KYB & Mouse
Labtech 2.1 Speakers + Sub
AG Neovo 17" TFT
AOL 1MB Broadband
Runs joint operations and Doom 3 in high res and spec beautifuly! :thumbs
AMD 3200xp runs hot but as never crashed running like a dream :thumbs
My Setup:-
Xp3200
Asus a7n8x-e MB with WiFi
1Gb Pc3200 DDR
G4 4800 ti
Audigy 2
120gb Seagate Hd
200Gb Sata HD
Pioneer A08
Nec 2510
