Updating old psp firmware

Haven't used my psp for a while, just checked the firmware and its on 3.71 M33!
Whats the quickest way to upgrade to the latest, without installing every little update, as there seems to be loads! Thanks

hi mate try doing a network update via the psp, its been a while since i updated mine so not sure if u can go striaght from 3.71m33 to 5.0m33 6 try it though ,

you can update to 5.0 m33 then from that to 5.50 Gen-D (to play latest games m8
