How to hide any item in Windows 7's Control Panel

This will show you how to hide any item in Windows 7 Control Panel. The Control Panel in Windows 7 contains 60 different default items. The number of items might be different depending on your hardware and Windows 7 Edition.
METHOD 1: Manually Change the Registry(any Windows version)

1. Click Start -> Enter "regedit" in the search box and Enter
2. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
3. Add DisallowCpl Key
4. Add DisallowCpl 32-bit DWORD value = 1
5. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowCpl
6. Create an String value with name is number from 1 and its value is the Control Panel Canonical Names. for example: Microsoft.ActionCenter

METHOD 2: Using a Tweak application (any Windows version)
1. Download and install Win7Zilla
2. Click on Control Panel on the left menu
3. Select items you want to hide in Hide Control Panel Item
4. Add and Apply to Current User

METHOD 3: Using Group Policy (only from Window 7 Professional or above)

1. Click Start -> Enter "gpedit.msc" in the search box and Enter
2. Click on Control Panel on the left menu
3. Double Click on Hide specified Control Panel Items
4. Click Enable
5. Enter Control Panel Canonical Names
6. Apply
