Geohot has twittered that he is working on an unlock for the latest baseband
"ok, 05.11.07 exploit finding starts NOW!!! 10:00 PM EST"

it all stems from iH8sn0w tweeting that he had found a command that crashed the baseband but it seemed not to be exploitable. Geohot said he reckoned he could find an exploit within a day and that was his starting point.

Ok, this appears to be getting closer. Geohot has proved his concept, crashed the baseband and made his own code run.

Meanwhile another hacker has entered the scene who claims to have a beta unlock and will show everyone via live video stream at 1pm (iirc) today.

Long time reseller(!) of free unlocking tools Jody Sanders has offered $10k reward for the first unlock of 05.xx promises to make it free but will charge for support for those that want it.

the 3g one is contract and i dont care about unlock on that one.

jailbreak with blackra1n then unlock with bootneuter

or get a custom pwned ipsw and restore to that.

blackrain works well to JB but the bootneuter doesnt unlock it??

anyone got a link to the relevant pwned ipsw i can download and try?
