Pretty simple, but you need to know the details about your motherboard, BIOS and version.
You'll also might need a USB Boot Disk into DOS (Pretty easy to do to).
I found my BIOS Mod by visiting 'My Digital Life' armed with my details -
Mobo - Gigabyte M720-US3
BIOS - Award
Version - F7G
If you have your BIOS you can also request a Mod if it's not already done - but is very unlikely!
My modified Bios, with Flash lived here. (post #3503).
After that, the only thing I needed to do was flash the BIOS with the MOD then use the loader.
I think the hardest thing is sifting through their site... It's HUGE!
But once you find the one you need. It's great!
Need any help, send over your Mobo details and I'll see if I can help find it.
Disclaimer -
Flashing your BIOS is generally safe. But it can also mess up your board if done incorrectly. Only attempt this if you are 100% positive you know what your doing. I cannot be held responsible if you bork your board - and if you do... I'll laugh!
That's the website I was using, I will have another look at the fills to see if mine has been done
I've just been trawling the site but can't find one for my Samsung NC10 netbook or my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ18L. Anyone seen them about? The NC10 is a pretty popular bit of kit!
Also ... any chance someone in the know can do a 'how to' on this? There are loads of stickies on activation here but this (re: BIOS flash), being the best method apparently, is absent.
EDIT: After reading THIS THREAD it seems the NC10 (with BIOS 11CA) may already have SLIC 2.1 as standard, so no need to mod.Only the Vaio VGN-FZ18L to find now.

Is it just me or is everyone doing different activators here.
Download Remove WAT 2.2/ install Win 7/Run remove WAT exe/let it finish/reboot and job done.
Still working after 9 months and getting windows updates.
No need to worry about bios.

Yep, the fact you've got a Samsung and a SLIC 2.1 BIOS means you can activate any version of Windows 7 or Vista using an OEM SLP key (essentially a manufacturer master key) and a XrML digital certificate that matches your BIOS SLIC (available on the forum you posted). XP can also be activated through a different method. Let me know if you need a hand with anything!

Cheers 'drdude' I just had a try on my Vaio FZ18L with the Daz tool, which I assume adds the Sony OEM SLP key and a XrML digital certificate for me? All seems to work fine now! Updates too!
I'm going to reinstall Win7 on my Samsung NC10 sometime soon using the same method if it stays stable. I've removed the activation process (via RemoveWAT ) from this install but keep getting a nag screen, so it has to be sorted sometime.
What tool are you guys using to add the OEM SLP key and a XrML digital certificate?
- Format / start re-install of Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional/etc
- When prompted for a product key, just leave it blank and accept the warning
- Once set up is complete we're ready to start the offline activation Open a command prompt with elevated privileges.
- Find the Samsung OEM SLP key that corresponds to the Windows 7 edition you just installed (it may be in your PM box ) and type the following (obviously replace XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX with the correct key):
Code:slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX- Find the Samsung XrML digital certificate (again, you may not have to look far), copy it to an accessible location like C:\ and type the following:
Code:slmgr.vbs -ilc C:\SAMSUNG-SECCSD-2.1.xrm-ms- Windows is now activated and will pass as genuine every time
Odd things tonight.
Seems that a possible update has finally stopped this.
Had this laptop's BIOS updated to v2.1 and used Daz's loader. But now it's saying 'Windows is not activated.
Hmmm.
~Wonder if anything will materialise in the morning...
This happened to me a couple of days ago. I don't know how daz's loader works but I assumed it just registered the certs for you. As the bios contains slic2.1 tables how can it show as not activated? I uninstalled using the loader then reinstalled and it activated but can't imagine it will stay this way for long. Something must be flagging up as bad.
EDIT: @DejaVu, did your system go into sleep or hibernation? Apparently this can cause it, the latest version of the loader has a workaround.

It did go into Sleep mode, then when it came back round I'd noticed it updated and needed rebooting.
Made the reboot and it auto shut itself down again and when it came back, which took ages to load. Not activated!
Latest loader I used was v1.9.2
why are you people using loaders if you have slic 2.1 table in your bios?
once you have the corrrect digital cert and key etc, then thats it.
i used a couple of tools,
1 to check my slic table was indeed 2.1 (slic toolkit v3.2)
and this one to check status, add cert and install a key,(opa tool 0.7)
i have not had any probs at all,
Matieboy
Edit, have you dowunloaded the update kb971033, this can detect upto 70 exploits from what i have read, no loaders no problem,
thats the way i see it anyway

Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes
Hidden that update.
The reason I use the loader is because it still installs the cert and the key, but no loader if it's 2.1
Much easier than scaling for 3 different programs when 1 does the lot.
Mine's just flagged up. What should I do? Can't find a way too turn off microsoft security essential's auto update shite.
I'm so l33t. Ph33r my skillz.
Uninstall MSE and use Avast.
Then install RemoveWAT. Only do this if you have tried the loader and it fails.
You could look for the KB971033 Remover. You have obviously installed that update.
I havent tried this, I'm not sure if it will work - but try -
For those of you who HAVE installed it and want to uninstall it
1. Go to Windows Update
2. Hit Installed Updates (link at the bottom left corner). If that link isn't there, hit "view update history" and hit the "installed updates" link at the top.
3. Scroll down to the section titled "Microsoft Windows" and look for update KB971033.
4. Right click it and hit "uninstall". Hit okay.
5. Reboot
6. Now check for updates again and follow the above method to hide it from installing ever again!
Note: You can also do a system restore if you are worried.
I have verified this method myself and did it before publishing this article. I personally do not want any extra processes running on my computer. =)
Enjoy!

Just installed it again, worked fine. Will take your advice and change though.

Oh dearie dearie me,
I seem to have the WAT watermark now after a windows update. looking through the update history the following were installed
KB976932 (SP1)
KB2488113 and
KB2446710.
I can remove the watermark by running WAT 2.2.5 again, but it returns a day later.
Any ideas on how to rid my pc of this beast permanently. (I've had KB971033 installed from June 2010, and it's never caused me a watermark issue)
Thanks
