Its impossible to describe the smell of a wet cat.
Uninstall RemoveWAT. It's been superceeded by Daz's Loader for ages!
Daz's loader can now take a KB971033 enabled system and rearm it.
For your info, you CAN uninstall that update from the Uninstall menu too as it's NOT an important update...
Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program > Views installed Updates.
Find it in the list and uninstall it. Then just rearm using Daz's Loader v2.00 or above. It also does not matter if it's SP1 or not. Daz's Loader fools the OS into thinking it has a Slic v2.1 Table.
I agree completely with Conkers though, loading a Slic v2.1 BIOS Mod is the way to go!
I'm still using removewat on my netbook, and I've installed every windows (7 Ultimate 32 bit) update going, including SP1.
Woo! Referring links and such.
http://www.criten.org/2011/03/cracki...ervice-pack-1/ is a better link
But yes, if you used RemoveWAT or Chew-WGA in the past you will need to run WGAFix before you can use Windows Loader by Daz.
Is this the best solution for ultimate? As mines just stopped working
I have RemoveWAT installed I think (can't remember)
If you do have it installed. Run again, add restore WAT, then run again and remove WAT.
I think you might find that watermarks will stay saying non-genuine though, but there is a fix for that.
This happened on one machine for me, but the fix cleared the watermarks and RemoveWAT continued to work. Another dodgy update from MS must have borked it.
