Suggestions for a new mobo and processor

Hi

I am going to have around £300 this month which I was planning on using to upgrade my Mobo and Processor.

I mainly use the machine for gaming so would like something high end but obviously with my budget I understand that may not be possible.

Anyone got any suggestions I am currently using the abit ab9 pro board and intel core 2 due e6300 (1.86)

I'd take into account that if you go for a more up to date xfire/sli board and a higher end cpu that you'll probably need to upgrade your ram as well. Older boards are ddr2 where as newer are dd3.
