Question Burning problems-What recorder is best???

I was having trouble burning iso's to dual layer verbs using my pioneer 116 dvr burner, I updated the firmware and everything was fine for a while.
Now I am trying to burn codmw2 but all I get is coasters, must be on my tenth attempt, but to no avail. I have tried using verbs from maplin, verbs from ck3 and cheaper media but all to no avail.
It is now happening with all isos, but fine with dvd-r's and cd-rs.
Has anybody else had issues with this burner or managed to resolve them??
No matter what I try I keep getting I/O errors.
What hardware do people on here use and do they have any problems with it???

    pioneer same

perhaps your dvdr is foobard? its unable to write dual layers but the rest are fine.

id be tempted to try it in a different system..

for the price of a writter v cost of coasters i would just buy another

Will have a look for one m8, I only got this one 4 months ago, due to my previous one being overworked.
