Default WTF When did it become normal to charge over £100 for a MOUSE ??

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computi...46608-pdt.html

What the fucking fuck. Need a new mouse so had a quick browse and found the above. Can anyone explain how over £100 could ever be justified for a mouse.

They move your cursor around the screen and have 3 buttons. some with a few extra programmable.

Suppose same goes for anything. Who would pay extra £100 to get the fastest processor around that is only 0.1GHz faster than the one below it?

I'm guessing there may be some who have real justifications for such products, but there will also be plenty that purchase them just to know they have the best.

When you buy from Currys? The same mouse is £80 on Amazon.

I've had my Logitech MX518 for over 10 years. So if a mouse lasts that long, I don't think £80 is unreasonable.

Don't get ripped off. Shop around - plus avoid Wireless. They are just shit when they run out of batteries.

My Corsair Mouse is perfect (http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computi...42298-pdt.html). I don't want an extra 12,000 DPI for gaming or because my pinky moves it ever so softly and its millimeter out and scream excuses at the screen.

£45 is more than enough for a decent bit of kit that looks great on my desk.

I won't . I will be bunging Argos a tenner at the weekend and getting a mouse that does the same job and maybe only lasts me 12 months. Good enough for me to left and right click on stuff.

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but the chain £1 shops normally have wired mice in there electrical section.
These won't be the best built but will still do the job.
I use one and granted it isn't daily but think it's at least 2 years old.
I also have a few spare Dell mice at work that I could send you piggzy to save you the cash

I paid about £64 for my wireless rechargeable about 15years ago and it's still going strong, obviously had to replace the rechargeable batteries in it a couple of times over that time but apart from that it was money well spent.

£80 of that price is because they added the word "gaming" to the title

If I was buying a gaming mouse I wouldn't buy cordless anyway. Too much interference in my house causes problems and I've tried them all lol

Well, I'm a slight 'Mouse Whore' and have been using Razer Nagas (can be found cheaper elsewhere) for years. I couldn't play half the games I do without one now. All the buttons on the side are a God send and in some games I even use them all!

No doubt there's cheaper Mice out there and maybe even better for the price. But I'm used to them now and refuse to look back.
