fella near me has his own shop and makes his own nitro and jet engines, he did have the record for the fastest radio jet, that is one big bang waiting to happen if you get it wrong tho lol, im in to my nitro cars at mo, but will move to helis when time and work allow

i remember the first time i put a nitro heli into the ground,

just learnt to do figure 8's - got cocky and went a bit faster, lost orientation, thought it was going away from me, put in a bit of left cyclic to bring her out of a gentle bank and she tipped over so fast and before i knew it a rotor tip touched the ground and it simply destroyed itself.

my last crash was with my little align t-rex 450 electric heli in the garden, i was flying inverted when a ball-link broke/popped off on the swashplate and caused loss of control of rotor disc then boom strike in mid air.

higher flying gives more chance to recover a heli and planes are much easier to fly full stop!

Only last week he said he had almost written off a £1000 plane

great stuff i have had a few electric ducted fan planes (red arrow,thunderbolt)both fast.
but this clip i had a scratch bult park flyer that i didnt get thre C/G correct .crashed .lol
