i recently broke my wife's laptop (i sat on the fucker and the screen cracked) bulb's still fine and i was wondering how much i could ask for it as spares or repairs?? any thoughts??

just thinking the same thing, but i think i've just found a screen on ebay for it £40 so just gonna ask the seller if it's compatible, (pretty sure it is though although cant check model number yet though cuz a m8s got it to see if he had a spare screen knocking about

managed to get the seller down to £30 for the screen and the postie delivered this morning, laptop now all fixed and i can get my desktop back

Are laptop screens easy to replace?

Yes, the hard part is getting the case open to get at the connectors inside the base, the screen is just a bucket load of screws holding it andd together.

They are easy, even i've replaced a couple and i'm shit. Just have to be careful pulling it too bits as its easy to crack the case.

Hardest part is knowing how much pressure to apply, i was worried about breaking it and my work mate just came and yanked it and off it popped.

and i'm niot exactly the most delicate person in the world either so i was handling the replacement screen like it was the crown jewels
