Microsoft has been throwing some big numbers around after its launch of social networking platforms on the Xbox 360.

According to a CNET report, Microsoft spokesman David Dennis boasted that some two million Xbox Live users had logged on to Facebook in the first week of it being available on the console.

That’s 10% of the total Live user base of twenty million, a hefty figure.

He didn’t reveal how many Twitter users had ventured online on the X360, but said there had been “tweets from nearly every market where we have Xbox Live.”

Translation: Not nearly as many as Facebook, but some.

Last.fm, which was also integrated onto the Xbox last week, saw 120 million minutes of music streamed in the first week.
