Xbox 360 XBReboot v0.05 - OnBoard NAND XDK Homebrew Solution

More early xmas presents with XBReboot v0.05! Like freeBOOT v0.02 it will reboot into a patched 8955 kernel. However, this one can be flashed directly in your onboard NAND flash, no need for a 2-nand solution. Before flashing it on your system, you will have to dump your console specific KeyVault (kv.bin) from your dumped Xbox 360 NAND image and put it inside the hacked image with nandpro:
    nandpro 7371.bin: -r16 kv.bin 1 1
    nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 kv.bin 1 1

Afaik, this initial version of XBReboot will only work on Xenon (v1) motherboards, but it's probably only a matter of time before it's made for other motherboard revisions.

Again, this hack relies on the JTAG hack to boot into XeLL and do the reboot to the patched 8955 with virtual fuses, so will only work with 360s that don't have the new bootloader.

The hack contains no readme/nfo so for now that's all the info we can confirm, but I assume it has the same patches as freeBOOT v0.02.

Let me just say that I know who released this - and it's probably the biggest homebrew hack ever released (so far) - and none of you fuckers are paying attention to it

Just such a shame that JTAG was plugged on the later consoles - you'd be seeing so much more fun right now.

    i'll knock up a tut.

    1) you need a xenon console (at present) with an exploitable dash pre summer update.
2)You need a nand dump (there are tuts how to do this. make sure nand dump is a good un) while soldering you also need the 3 resisitors or 2 diodes and link wire.
    3) get nandpro 20B The B version has extra bits in.
    4)get XBR_Xenon_8955_0.bin (try x b1ns)
    5) rename your dump orig.bin and the XBR_Xenon_8955_0.bin to xbr.bin
6)put the two bin files in the installed nandpro directory.
7)extract you key vault, go to command prompt. find your nand directory. type: nandpro orig.bin: -r16 kv.bin 1 1 This makes a file called kv.bin (keyvault)
8)now type: nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 kv.bin 1 1 this writes the kv to the hacked nand.
9)connect console to pc and type nandpro lpt: -w16 xbr.bin this flashes the file to the box, after 40 minutes ish is should be done.
10)switch on if all has gone well you have the new dash installed asking for country settings.
    11) if you have a usb controller or usb key board plug in to the rear usb and press the centre X on the controler or windows key on the keyboard and the console should switch on and xell dash should boot. this has a bug and can be sorted if you want to continue.
    12) sorting the xell dash, get http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RIMN54NG from here, you need the file xell-1f.bin out of it, rename xell.bin and put into the nandpro folder.
13)connect up your console once again, and type nandpro lpt: +W16 xell.bin 30 that will flash 10 blocks (A in hex don't panic takes about a minute) if all has gone well you should now be able to boot xell off the rear usb.
    14) Plug any size hd in to your caddy and watch as the console works, no size limit.
15)All you people that were banned last month this is a bit of pay back, unfortunately if you were banned then you have the latest dash and are screwed for now.

Please use the correct cap and symbols when using nandpro ie. if i put "w" use "w" not "W"and visa vera.

    hope this helps
