Expansys to sell Motorola Milestone in the UK

It’s official – after we reported last week that the Motorola Milestone would be on sale at the start of December, this has been confirmed.

Expansys will be selling the smartphone, which is known as the Droid over in the US, where it has sold very well.

December 7th is the date that Expansys has given for the launch of the so-called “iPhone killer” handset, which is powered by Android.

The phone comes with a 3.7 inch display, sliding Qwerty keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 16GB of memory plus wi-fi and 3G.

The sim-free price is around the £450 mark, not cheap but it’s a nice piece of kit.

Is expansys a good site? Some reviews of it are a bit dodgy. I'm tempted to buy the phone on a T-mobile contract, also on expansys...but T-mobile are not even advertising it yet.

to anyone buying this phone,wait.... expansys have a exclusive until the end of the year, the price will drop to around to £400 at the start of the year.

What about the contract price? Seems like a good deal to me. It's either this or the Palm Pre.

the phone atm is sim free only, though exspances may do it on a contract, no operators have taken the phone, so its probble that it will only be avaible from inderpendant retailers.

so you could buy the phone and get a good deal on your contract, get a good phone on contract sell it and use the cash to buy the milestone

palm pree is a top rate phone, but it is lacking some features, so check it out at a o2 shop before you buy, o2 also are not discounting the pre's tariff so i have read....

Wish I had gone for the Palm Pre now...Just been bad news after bad news from expansys, doubt I'll even get my phone by the new year!

Personally, I've never had a problem with expansys. One of our members used to work there, i'll leave it up to him if he wants to field any questions.

I'm interested in the Droid and £450 sim free would be about right I'd say. Will have to see how the cash is looking when it's available.

Not realy a problem with expansys, just that the phone sold out in 3 hours.... Motorola Milestone the fastest selling gadget in the web site's 11-year history
