    Default bargains around?

    Hi guys,

I've been looking around a while now, and even through the ftse 100 is still quite high, i think there are some really bargains around. Im thinking of going in, but wanted to see what you guys think - do you think prices will still fall further?

most of the shares im looking at are already in the individual shares section anyway.

LLoyds - already hold, but think will be a good time to buy after RI has been issued. Short term target price is 70p, £1 med and £2 long. Problem is with the one off tax targetted at bankers, will directors leave? this could hit share price. No incentive for excessive risk taking, therefor no excessive profits?

INCH - sub 30p atm, and would hold short for 35-30p.

PVCS - with the USA all about clean energy this looks great, sub 60p now, short term target is 70p. more research need though.

RBS - dirt cheap but will the bounce back? 80% owned by the governemt.

CEY - price has come down quite a bit - is 118p a good time to get in? gold prices look like they will continue to rise.

BDEV - one of the UK's largest home builders. price is about 110p a share which seems ridiculously cheap. whats going on here then?

if you guys had the can and will willing to risk, where would your money go? im not talking about greedy returns, just somewhere safe to put your money for the next 18 months?

Ye its a tracker which I'm investing in with the halifax,

Ive just splashed some change on - PHYSIOMICS PLC ( PYC ) (Expecting some big news soon) and I'm watching Pinnacle Telecom Group PINN.

I think the tracker is the way forward, FTSE will slowly continue to go back up

I am going to stick a couple of k in RBS. Apart from that not too much jumps out at me. Probably gonna stick the rest of my money in a tracker, apart from my cash ISA allowance.

I'm gonna make a post from a non investor perspective so bear that in mind.

I've been working for a construction firm for about 2 years now, and next year we have enough contracts for it to be a real bumper year as company is expanding in a couple of new directions. Hearing about most of our competitors, most have had difficulties and have had to let go of permanent staff, but some have flourished - I suspect times like these seperate the wheat from the chaff.

right - a little bit of progress here for me. originally i was thinking of going in deeper with lloyds, but there was an program on bloomberg last night where a barclays investments manager said they would be stearing clear of financial shares for at least the begining of 2010 as they are still in way too much turmoil.

im personally now leaning toward CEY and PVCS - especially with the chinese economy almost ready to fly into full swing again.

far from minted mate - imo it is now better to put what you have into stocks and shares than bank account interest. just had a regular saver mature - the 8% one from hsbc and it was hardly worth it!

Standard life have been doing very well, I made 1% on my ISA in a day which is pretty much what the cash ISA interest would have paid over a year... But over the past 6 months my grandparents have made a lot of money in them!

Also I am putting some money into William Hill, I predict over the next 2 years the share price will rise nicely. I am new to this all though so do your own research!

I have been trying to get some shares in gold mining companies but my broker won't allow me to do this under my ISA wrapper for some reason.
