anyone recommend a good chat monitoring software for msn & facebook (not a keylogger) it neads to run as a service, not be detected by virus checkers, and run stelf.

run on win 7 and free if possible

thanks, but the virus checker eat it alive, even when you tell the VC to leave it alone it still puts up a warning.

There was a guy on here who made sure his daughters pc went through a seperate firewall/packet monitoring computer

Can't remember who it was, a bit extreme but impossible to pick up on anti virus

or simply log everything using wireshark with another pc, and filter all msn messenger packets

well thats one way of doing it, only thinkg with kids is that they are click happy and would just close down wireshark, i dont want to have two p.c on the go, i have a unmanaged switch so its a pain to sniff the network and i am unemployed hence the free solution......

maybe i will have alook at the winpcap sdk.....
