Default Trading Standards @ Northern Computer Markets

Just an heads up, i've just been to the Wolverhampton show, and trading standards were everywhere on more or less every stall. They were taking everything from R4s, software and consoles.

The bloke who fixes Wii's & 360s had all his customers consoles taken from him, so just an heads up in case you have a console left with him. I think most of the traders are at Bowlers so i'm guessing that will be done in next couple of weeks before Christmas.

Cant see how they would have grounds to take R4 and other peoples xbox, wii etc aslong as he isnt breaking the law surely they couldnt take anything? having a flashed xbox isnt breaking the law, but having illegal copies is.

at the end of the day i suppose they can do whatever they want as we wont have a leg to stand on

not really, most things are more expensive. Plus bowlers is full of none computer related stuff these days. There are more tool shops and mobile phone booths than computer stuff, Its turned really shit in the last 2 years.

Compared to how they used to be they're shit to be honest. The only reason I go is I have a supplier there, and I get all my stock at trade price, so its usually a bit cheaper than Internet prices.

I Remember they took loads of ps2 and ps1 and orginal xboxs in nutts corner market years ago and one of them was mine. Although my ps2 was getting the lazer fixed on it and was not modded it took my dad about 6-8 weeks to get it back.

tbh if they are chipping consoles, selling cable boxes and selling pirate software in public they are asking to get done by TS, im surprised it has lasted this long.

they have some guts though lol you risk it all just to chip some consoles?

hardly suprising, havent been a computer fair for years but i remember some of the larger ones used to get raided fairly routinely, next week the same stuff was their again just under the counter and as the weeks went on they got braver and displayed more openly and then they get raided again etc. and the cycle continues
oh and yes trading standards can take whatever they like, they determine what is legal/illegal after taking possession, not before, even if they decided all your stuff islegal you are very unlikely to get everything back (things disappear from the inventory - seen it happen myself)
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
